ISS Mission and Role at the College
Our Goal
The goal of ISS is to provide reliable, secure, and easy-to-use technology that supports the MCC community. ISS helps ensure that students, faculty, and staff have access to the systems, services, and technical support necessary for teaching, learning, and the daily operation of the College.
ISS serves as McLennan Community College's central information technology organization. Our responsibilities include supporting enterprise applications, end-user technology, cybersecurity, networks, servers, telecommunications, online services, and other technology resources used throughout the College.
Our Role
Our role goes beyond maintaining technology. ISS works with departments across MCC to:
- Understand technology needs and problems.
- Provide reliable technology services and support.
- Protect College systems, accounts, and information.
- Maintain the infrastructure required for College operations.
- Support and improve administrative and academic processes through technology.
- Plan, implement, and maintain technology projects and services.
- Help the College use technology effectively, securely, and responsibly.
ISS supports the mission of McLennan Community College by making technology an effective tool for accomplishing the College's work rather than an obstacle to it.
