Brightspace Student Onboarding Class

Overview

The Brightspace Student Onboarding class helps new students get started with online tools and resources at MCC. This article explains when access is granted and what to do if the class does not appear. Access to the Student Onboarding class will not be immediate upon acceptance.

Getting Started

When Access Is Granted

Enrollment in the Brightspace Student Onboarding class is processed weekly and access to the class is based on your acceptance date.

  1. New students are added to the class on the Wednesday after acceptance.
  2. If accepted on a Wednesday, access may not be available until the following Wednesday.
  3. Log in to Brightspace after the expected enrollment date to check for the class.

What To Do If You Do Not See the Class

If the class is still not visible after the expected enrollment timeframe, additional action may be required.

  1. Confirm that it has been at least one full Wednesday since your acceptance date.
  2. Check your Brightspace dashboard and course list carefully.
  3. If the class is still missing, contact Tech Support for assistance.
