Smart Classroom Instructions
Overview
These are the guides for using Smart Classroom Technology, including the Extron Button Panel and Document Camera.
Getting Started
Extron Button Panel
If the projector or computer monitor is not working correctly, please view the instructions in the article, Screen not duplicated or Input 3 Error.
Use the button panel to control classroom audio, video, and input sources.
- ON - Turns the system on. Wait until the unit beeps 3 times (about 20 seconds) before using the panel. The system cannot be turned off until the ON button flashes (about 60 seconds).
- OFF - Turns the system off. Wait until the unit beeps 3 times (about 10 seconds) for full shutdown.
- PC - Selects the PC input (default option).
- HDMI - Selects HDMI input (large connector on the panel).
- LAPTOP - Selects Mini-DisplayPort (smaller connector on the panel).
- VGA - Selects the Wireless Presenter.
- MUTE - Mutes the audio.
- AUX VIDEO (single press) - Freezes the projector image. Press again to unfreeze.
- AUX VIDEO (hold 3 seconds) - Mutes video. Hold again for 3 seconds to restore video.
- VOLUME UP/DOWN - Adjusts volume. Hold to increase or decrease quickly.
Document Camera
Log off the computer when finished. If you do not log off, others cannot access the Document Camera software.
If prompted that the camera is in use, restart the computer. If a message appears stating another user is logged in, select “Restart Anyway.”
- Open the Flex 11 software from the desktop to use the Document Camera.
- You can also select Solo as the camera and microphone when using Zoom or Yuja.
- AF - Auto focuses the camera.
- AF-L - Auto focuses and locks focus.
- ROTATE (middle button) - Rotates the image. Use when switching between document and lecture capture modes.
- ZOOM - Zooms in or out.
