2026: Don't Tap Approve: Stop MFA Fatigue Before It Starts
July 1, 2026
TLDR
-
Attention Faculty & Instructors: You should not write or display login/password or personal contact information that could be used to access MCC systems on classroom whiteboards. Use a safer method, such as verbally, PowerPoint document, or another approved MCC system.
-
MFA Fatigue: Do not approve Duo MFA requests unless you are actively trying to log in. If you receive an unexpected Duo prompt, deny the request and reset your MCC password immediately.
-
Backup Device: Add a backup device or authentication method in Duo to help avoid being locked out if your primary device is unavailable. For instructions, see IT Hub Manage Devices on Your Duo Account.
-
Coming July 13, 2026: Stronger password requirements. MCC passwords will require a 12-character minimum once you reset your password. Stay tuned!
