2025: MFA 101: Secure Your Access, Secure Our Campus

August 6, 2025

TLDR

  • Over half of MCC employees (53%) are still using Windows 10 — and time is running out. After October 14, 2025, Windows 10 will no longer receive security updates, putting your device and MCC systems at risk. Devices running Windows 10 may be restricted from accessing the college network after the deadline. Act now to avoid disruptions: Log in to the IT Hub and upgrade to Windows 11.
  • All MCC students, faculty, and staff should pre-enroll in Duo Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) before August 11, 2025, to enhance login security.
  • MFA protects your account and offers stronger defense against phishing, credential theft, and cyber threats, even if your password is stolen.
  • The self-registration portal is open! Check your MCC email, register your device, and complete setup before launch to avoid access delays.
