2026: Cybersecurity Awareness Month: Awareness Into Action

TLDR

• Faculty and staff: Complete annual, state-mandated Cybersecurity & AI training in NEOED  by October 31. Plan ahead; both required courses take approximately one hour total to complete.
• October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month (CAM). Students can participate in activities across campus, including Cyber Story Boards, the Scam Museum, Stay Safe Online workshop, ESEC Cybersecurity table, and Cyber Jeopardy.
• Think before you "sign in with". Using an existing account to sign in to another website or app is convenient, but if that account is compromised, other connected accounts may also be at risk. For important accounts, consider creating a separate login with a unique password and MFA.
