Settins up User’s Long-distance Service


Long-distance code

All user’s do not have long-distance access codes.

Log into Cisco Unified CM Administration

https://10.59.110.11:8443/ccmadmin

Cisco Unified CM Administration (cucmadministrator)

Use your own credential if you have them.

Determine if User’s Long-distance Account exist

Search for the extension and long-distance code in the Master DN SpreadSheet at https://researchvp.mclennan.edu/ISS/Infrastructure/Voice. The note column should list the previous owner of that extension. The long-distance column should list the long-distance code if they had one.

From the tabs select Call Routing>Forced Authorization Code

Enter was and the first name of the previous user and click Find. You can also search by the Authorization Code by changing the dropdown.

Replace the “Authorization Code Name*” with the new user’s first and last name. Note the “Authorization Code*” to email to the user, and change the Authorization Level* to 75.

Click the Save button.

Create a Long-distance Code

From the tabs select Call Routing>Forced Authorization Code

Click Add New.

Enter the user’ s first and last name for the “Authorization Code Name*”.

Enter a unique 6-digit number for the “Authorization Code*” Please do not use the digit 8 in the first 4 digits, it makes searching the Master Directory Number spreadsheet more time consuming.

Update the Master Directory Number spreadsheet with the new long-distance code.
