Setting up User’s Account
Log into Cisco Unified CM Administration
https://10.59.110.11:8443/ccmadmin
Cisco Unified CM Administration (cucmadministrator)
Use your own credential if you have them.
Determine if User’s Account exist
Select User Management>End User
“Find Users Where” First name begins with enter user’s first name and click Find
If user exist it should be displayed in the list. Future Employees do not show up as users and will have to be added. Users without phones defined in AD do not show up either.
If the user is a recent higher you may have to sync CUCM with AD.
Select System tab and LDAP>LDAP Directory. Select Find.
Select MCC-All-Employees, select Perform Full Sync Now
Click OK in the popup.
Select MCC-All-PresOffice, select Perform Full Sync Now
Click OK in the popup.
Check to see if the user shows up now.
Select User Management>End User
“Find Users Where” First name begins with enter user’s first name and click Find.
You may have to come back to administer the user’s account after user is moved to the employees OU in AD.
Add a local User’s Account
Click Add New button
Enter the user’s ID in the “User ID*” field
Enter a 6-digit password in the “Password” and “Confirm Password” field
Enter the user’s last name in the “Last name*” field
Enter the user’s first name in the “First name: field
Enter the user’s extension in the “Telephone Number” field
Enter the user’s department in the “Department” field
In the Service Settings box make sure the “Home Cluster” is checked. Check the “Enable User for Unified CM IM and Presence” box. Select Jabber_SP from the “UC Service Profile” dropdown
Click the Save button
In the “Device Information” beside the “Controlled Devices” box select the Device Association button.
In the new window use the “Find User Device Associated” where drop down to select Directory Number and enter the extension for the new user and click Find. Check the box next to the phone the user is going to use and the softphone if one is present. Click the Save Selected/Changes. In the upper left corner by the “Related Links: Back to User” click Go.
From the “SUBSCRIBE Calling Search Space” dropdown select CSS-MCC_Internal.
In the Directory Number Associations box use the Primary Extension dropdown to select the four-digit in Internal extension.
In the Mobility Information box check the Enable Mobility box.
Click Save button.
Scroll down to the “Permissions Information” box. Click the Add to Access Control Group button next to the “Groups” box.
Find and List Access Control Groups window opens. Click Find it the Access Groups are not listed.
Select:
· Standard CCM End Users
· Standard CTI Allow Control of All Devices
· Standard CTI Allow Control of Phones supporting Connected Xfer and conf
· Standard CTI Allow Control of Phones supporting Rollover Mode
· Standard CTI Enabled
Click Add Selected, window close and takes you back to the End User Configuration page.
Click Save button.
Note: Local user will be replace by Active Enabled LDAP Synchronized User when HR updates the location and phone number in AD, if the user’s ID and phone number match.
Edit User’s Account
Select the user from the list by clicking on the User ID.
Scroll down to the “Service Settings” box check the Home Cluster box and the Enable User for Unified CM IM and Presence box.
In the “UC Service Profile” dropdown select Jabber_SP and Click the Save button.
Scroll down to the “Devices Information” box. Beside the Controlled Devices box select the Device Association button.
In the new window use the “Find User Device Associated” where drop down to select Directory Number and enter the extension for the new user and click Find. Check the box next to the phone the user is going to use and click the Cave Selected/Changes. By the “Related Links: Back to User” click Go.
