Email Microsoft Teams Channel

You can send an email directly into a Microsoft Teams channel. This helps your team keep track of important messages in one place. It's easy to set up and only takes a few steps.
Getting Started
Follow these steps to email a message into a specific Teams channel.
Get the Channel Email Address
Each channel in Microsoft Teams has a unique email address. You need this to send messages.
- Open Microsoft Teams and go to the team where the channel is located.
- Select the desired channel.
- Click the three-dot menu (More options) next to the channel name.
- Choose "Get email address" from the menu.
- Copy the email address shown.
Send the Email
Once you have the channel's email, you can send your message like a regular email.
- Open your preferred email client (like Outlook or Gmail).
- Paste the channel email address into the "To" field.
- Type your subject and message.
- Attach any files if needed.
- Click send. The message will appear in the Teams channel.
Additional Details
- Some organizations may limit this feature. If "Get email address" doesn't appear, contact IT support.
- Only team members can send emails to private channels.
- Messages sent to the channel will include attachments and formatting.
