Getting Started
Follow the steps below to share files or folders in SharePoint and manage collaboration settings.
Open SharePoint & Locate Your File
- Open a web browser and go to SharePoint Online.
- Sign in using your MCC email address and password.
- Open the SharePoint site or document library that contains your file or folder.
- Select the file or folder you want to share.
Share a File or Folder
Send access to other users so they can view and edit your shared content.
Copy a Sharing Link
Create a direct link to quickly share documents through email, Teams, or chat.
- Select the file or folder you want to share.
- Select “Copy link.”
- Choose the appropriate link settings and permissions.
- Select “Copy.”
- Paste the link into an email, Teams chat, or other message.
Manage Sharing Permissions
Review or update who can access your shared files or folders.
Additional Details
- Multiple users can edit the same document at the same time in SharePoint.
- Changes are saved automatically while collaborating online.
- Sharing permissions may be limited based on MCC security settings.
- Use OneDrive sync if you want shared files available on your computer.
