How to update your computer to Windows 11
Overview
Upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11 is a simple process that you can complete on your own device. Before you begin, make sure to back up your important files and review Microsoft’s official installation guide for full instructions.
Getting Started
Follow the steps below to prepare your computer for Windows 11. The process may take some time, so plan to do it when you won’t need your device for a while.
Back Up Important Files
Although upgrading to Windows 11 should not delete your data, it’s always a good idea to back up important files before starting. You can use a Personal OneDrive, a USB drive, or another cloud service to store your files safely.
It is not recommended to use your MCC Student One Drive account for long-term personal use. See more information about Termination of Access.
