Learning Commons Technology Loan Equipment (Formerly IREPO)

Overview

Starting Spring 2026, the IREPO student technology program will have a new name: Learning Commons Technology Loan, or Tech Loan for short.

This program makes it easier for MCC students to borrow laptops and other tech. As a student, you no longer need a staff recommendation. Complete the form and wait for approval.

Getting Started

Follow these steps to apply for a Tech Loan as an MCC student.

Access and Submit the Tech Loan Form

Students can self-apply for technology loans without employee recommendations.

  1. Go to the Tech Loan application form.
  2. Sign in with your MCC student email address (e.g. ab0123456@students.mclennan.edu) and current MCC password.
    • Note: If your current browser is logged into a personal Gmail account, either switch to your student Google account or try opening the form link in a different browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari.
  3. Fill out and submit the form.
  4. Academic Support and Tutoring (AST) staff will contact you via your student email after review.

Review Eligibility Requirements

Make sure you meet the requirements to qualify for a Tech Loan.

  1. Minimum 2.0 GPA (waived for new students).
  2. Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at MCC (waived for Dual Credit students).
  3. If GPA is below 2.0, meet with a Success Coach, create a coaching plan, and ask them to send an endorsement.

Additional Details

  • The form is restricted to students.mclennan.edu accounts, so be sure to sign in with your MCC email.
  • The sign-in requirement with the MCC student account, serves to verify students are submitting their own applications and gives a verified address to contact you once the process is complete.
  • Students trying to access with a different account will receive a permission notice error.
  • AST staff will reach out after your application is reviewed and approved.
