Remove Sender from Barracuda Sender Policy

Overview

Sometimes, emails get blocked by Barracuda because the sender's address or domain is flagged. This guide will help you remove a sender from the block list so their messages can come through.

Getting Started

Follow these steps to remove a blocked sender from your Barracuda quarantine list.

Log into Barracuda

Start by accessing your Barracuda Email Security Service account.

  1. Go to the Barracuda Email Security Gateway.
  2. Log in using your MCC email credentials.
  3. For a shared (department) email address, use "Email me a temporary passcode."

Remove Sender from Sender Policy

This section explains how to remove the sender from the block list so future emails are not blocked*.

  1. Go to the Barracuda Sender Policy.
  2. Locate the email marked as "Block" or "Quarantine".
  3. Under Actions, click "Remove".
  4. Confirm your choice if prompted.

Additional Details

  • *To whitelist a sender (so future emails are not blocked), contact the helpdesk@mclennan.edu for assistance. 
  • Changes take effect immediately for your inbox.
  • If a message is critical and not found, contact the Help Desk for assistance.
